May 7, 2008well, there was a protest near my school today, because of the acquittal of three NYPD officers. They shot a man and his friends 50 times. Al Sharpton was the leader of the protest, and he was arrested. Nicole Paultre Bell, Sean Bell's wife, was also arrested. It was really frustrating, cause Al Sharpton was causing an incovienence to people who really don't care about the protest. my school had to coordinate dismissal plans with the NYPD, so we could get home before the protests started. of course, the city bus never came because of the traffic. whatever al sharpton thinks, he's entitled to his own beliefs. but, he shouldn't piss everyone else off, make schools have an early dismissal, an cause traffic for people who really just don't care about what he wants!
